Overview
Course Number: 6000207868
This course gives agents a practical, start-to-finish roadmap for advising clients who are launching, growing, or exiting a small business—using a real-world roofing contractor case study to keep it relatable and easy to apply. You’ll learn how business structure decisions and the 2017 tax law impact planning, how to review current coverage, and how to recommend the right commercial solution (BOP vs. CPP) with the proper liability, property, and umbrella layers. The course also tackles the realities agents hear every day—cash-flow stress, finding customers, hiring subs vs. employees, and adding benefits and retirement strategies as the business grows. Agents walk away with clear talking points, checklists, and coverage guidance they can use immediately with new-business and expanding-business clients.
This course is approved by the South Carolina Department of Insurance for Continuing Insurance Education Credit.
